Severe Storms Put an End to Racing on Madsen Night
Saturday May 9, 2009
By: Rodney Rescott

Madsen Overhead Doors presented a special Autograph Night for all the fans to meet their favorite Saturday night driver or drivers, and come away with something a little special, their autograph.

After the first round of warm-ups were finished, the big crowd on hand made their way through the infield gates to meet their favorite drivers.

Once all got their fill of the cars and stars of legendary super fast high banks, it was time to go racing.  But racing, just got started as the 2nd of 3 Pure Stock features was just finishing when the skies opened up and dumped a tremendous amount of precipitation, almost immediately flash flooding the infield.

With the track too gone to race on, and the infield seconding as Lake Lebanon, the proverbial plug was pulled.  No word at press time if any of the finishes will be official or not.  Official finishes will be posted on our website by Tuesday.

Next Saturday night continues the School Appreciation Month with the return of the Benjamin Moore paints 358 Super Series at the Valley of Speed.  Waste Management and Wohrles Foods present a full card of racing, plus bicycle giveaway.
