GE Plastics and Dig Safely NY presented a full card of action, along with a autograph session with the Valley's big guns. Kenny Tremont Jr., Eddie Marshall, Keith Flach, and Kevin Arnold, along with a several other drivers signed pictures, t-shirts, hats, and much more for the fans before the night of action began. Once it was time for the racing, the Big Block Modifieds took to the speedway for their 30 lap feature event. On the front row it was the Hough Motors #34 of Steve Hough and the Thoma Tire #55 of Mike King. At the drop of the green, Hough powered out front to take the top spot on the field. The first caution flew on lap 3 as everyone got bunch up in turns three causing a few cars to spin including points leader Eddie Marshall. That left the Marshall Oil #98 to play catch up for the rest of the night to try and maintain his slim point lead. At the restart, Hough once again powered out front, but was later slowed again on lap 17 as the #77F of Mark Flach and the #44 of Dave Leckonby made contact, causing Flach's car to head up At this point of the race, the big guns have made their way to the front. The Mighty Matt Quinn was sitting in 2nd for most of the race, but behind him the #115 of Kenny Tremont, the #4 of Andy Bachetti, and the #74 of J.R. Heffner, were all poised to take over the front two spots. At the green, the racing got hot and heavy, but it was Bachetti who found the fast way around and vaulted from 5th spot to 2nd in about 2 laps. By then, Hough had checked out on the field, making difficult for the Albreada Waste #4 to catch him. But as luck would have it, the caution flew on lap 27 for the #21J of Jeff Trombley who suffered a catastrophic blown motor in turn 4. This put Bachetti right on the rear bumper of Hough for a 3 lap shoot out. On the restart, Bachetti dove to the outside of the #34 going into turn 1, but lost the handle, and drifted high. That was as close as he would come, as the #74 of Heffner snuck by to take second, and tried to make a run at Hough, but it was not to be, as the Steve Hough takes his first win of 2007. Following Hough was Heffner's #74, the #4 of Bachetti, Tremont crossed in 4th, and Quinn's #88Q rounded out the top 5. In the Sportsman 20 lap feature event, it was almost like De Ja Vu, as the Waste Management #3 of Kim LaVoy powered out to the front from her front row spot. Everyone was chasing her down, till lap 15, when the #80 of Kory Sandstedt passed her to take the lead, but on the very next lap, broke something in the rear end, and dropped out of competition. This gave LaVoy back the lead. Caution flew again on lap 17 as the Sports Page Café #09 of Kevin Lynch lost a drive shaft, taking out the Want Ad Digest #2 of K.C. Goewey. This set up a 3 lap shoot out for the win. As the green flew, the LP Adams Lumber #5 of Chris Tryon bolted from 2nd, past LaVoy, into the lead. As the checkers flew, Tryon takes his 3rd win of 2007. Following Tryon was the #3 of LaVoy; Carmen Carnibucci's #95 crossed the line 3rd, followed by the #9 of Ed Harkin, and rookie Kevin Petrucci held on for a strong 5th place finish. The Pro Stock 20 lap feature event was a battle from lap one, for 2nd on back anyways. A the Speed's Garage #24 of Robbie Speed took over the top spot on lap 3, and set the cruise control for his 3rd win of 2007. Following Speed's #24 across the finish was the current point leader Kevin Arnold to finish 2nd. 3rd across the line was the hard charging #38M of Mike Middleton, who started last on the field; 4th across the line was the #8 of Jay Corbin, and the #243 of Victor Hopkins rounded out the top 5. In the Limited Pros, it was the 8th win for the N&L Autobody #17 of Nick Hilt. In the Pure Stocks, this week's winners were: PS#1 - Dan Olds, PS#2 - Ed Hatch, and PS#3 - Phil Wood.
